|
Erle is well known in Northwestern Canada for his combination of hard driving bluegrass, Old time fiddle and comedy routines. Erle sings lead vocals and provides lead on fiddle, mandolin and guitar. Being raised in the Maritimes, Erle’s main influences were Don Messer, Vic Mullen and many of the old-time country artists. He is best known for his Don Messer and Johnny Cash tributes at festivals throughout Northern BC. Anywhere you'll find Erle you'll find music. He has the ability to attract quality musicians and is entertaining audiences in short order. Currently Erle teaches fiddle lessons and freelances always giving his 100% as Emcee, singer or instrumentalist. Erle is constantly in search of an experienced banjo player in an attempt to rejuvenate "Erle Crawford and Moonshine", his band of 20 years.
Moonshine (2004) With Vic Mullen on fiddle and Jason Homey on banjo. Other band members were John Krisinger on bass, Jack Cook on rhythm guitar, Jean Cook on harmony vocals and Bruce Cleland on Dobro.
Cousin' Ernie (2005) Crawford's alter-ego Cousin' Ernie usually travelled with Moonshine and put on one heck of a musical comedy routine along the line of Homer & Jethro.
